Hi, my name is Kim Peterson. I have a husband, four kids, one hundred and seventy cows, two thousand hogs, six cats that we know of, eight ducks, one dog and a goat. Yes we are farmers! So why in the world would I even consider a house dog? Did I mention that I have four kids?

When my children first saw my brother-in law’s Hairless Terrier, they were like, can we have one? I said, ‘Don’t you think we have enough to take care of?' But that did not satisfy them. I have to admit, they kind of grow-on-you. Kenny Mills, my brother-in-law, told me that they were easy to take care of and the bathing part was like giving a baby a bath because they have no hair. So your furniture is not full of hair, or your lap, after you hold them. So we talked about it for a while but living only a couple of miles away from each other is not like “out of site out of mind.” We were finally hooked. We not only have one but three hairless terriers: Ernie, Isis, and Sophie. They are very playful and loveable dogs. My children range from six to nineteen and really enjoy them. They like to show them off to their friends--they think it is so cool the way their skin feels. So no, I don't hate Kenny for talking me into getting a hairless rat terrier. My family and I are really glad we did.
